Touted to be the first beer bus crawl in India, the guys over at The Dude Dossier, a cultural community in the city {in collaboration with Vh1} have turned fairy god mothers and have organised a Beer Bus Crawl for OktoberFest 2015. So no need to stumble out of a brewery on the trek to the next one!
Get onboard
Tapping into the local, craft brewery frenzy, your ticket will get you exclusive access to the privately charted Beer Bus (Nickelback’s Rockstar-style, we hope!). Then at the three stops, Bangalore Brew Works {Residency Road}, who’ve just started pouring their creations down our gullets, Prost {Koramangala}, for their cider of course, and finally Bierre Republic {Church Street}, the only craft brewery in the CBD, for their popular ales, lagers and stout. And the best part is, you don’t have to just have samplers and scoot. They’ll add on two litres to your account, meaning that your ticket is good for beer in the amount of water you should be consuming in a day! A definite win any way you look at it!
Beyond the brews
Well, you can’t really be expecting a session on astronomy at a beer crawl, so an educative session on the process of brewing will have to do. The brew masters at every stop will give you the lowdown on how your favourite beverage is made, and in the company of craft beer and home beer enthusiasts, you’ll be a pro before the night is done. Discount of other F&B is also part of the offer and as all beer-filled evenings go, so is karaoke. So make sure to sign up for this as only 40 people will get to ride the Beer Bus.
