What’s not to love about a Sunday afternoon spent learning some handy baking tips and unwinding with beer, wine and cheese? OpenOut’s {a city-based community that facilitates at-home events} upcoming event brings together all this and much more. Hosted by lawyer-turned-baker, Pierre Gregoire {who runs Pierre – Artisan Bakery}, the fun event starts from his kiosk and moves to his kitchen and finally, the beautiful terrace with plenty in store for you.

Who Is It For?

Ever wondered what the difference between artisanal bread and the regular, store-bought bread is? Or perhaps, you’ve always wanted to ace the seemingly simple art of bread -making? Then, this event is one for you to bookmark. Even if you aren’t much of a baking enthusiast, there’s enough to lure you here, in the form of food and drinks.

Why Should I Go For It?


After the group gathers for the intro talk, make way to Pierre’s kitchen where he’ll take you through the basics of bread making and fermentation along with a live demo of shaping methods. Want to try your hand at it? The ace baker will give you a hands-on session even! After ‘the lessons’, pick from bread-based appetisers, petits fours and cheese platters at the tasting session {on the terrace}. Oh, there’ll also be wine {courtesy Four Seasons} to be paired with the nibbles. But what we’d look out for would be the lunch featuring specials by Pierre. Think a spread of veg Ratatouille, Navarin {French lamb stew}, drinks and homemade desserts. We’re sold already!
