If you've always wondered where rice and pulses, or any of your food comes from, but never get an answer, then you're not alone. Which is why, when I stumbled across Swabhiman 33, I was pleasantly surprised. A brand that is all about respecting the farmer and where your food comes from, with the hope that the person who actually grew your food can hold his or her head high, the name is reflection of that ethos. Swabhiman is the self-respect, while 33 comes from the promise of the brand to give 33 per cent of the profit share to the farmer. And with the way we depend on the agricultural field in India, I am definitely on board with this kind of ideology!
Currently, they have black rice, which is rich in iron, magnesium, and anti-oxidants and brown rice that is meant to be high in zinc, potassium and other minerals. They also have organic black channa.
