There’s no such thing as too many carbs and if you love Italian food, Toscano is where you should head. At the UB City one, they’re having a fresh pasta festival (Pasta Fresca Festival), with eight types of distinct pastas curated by chef Sadish Kumar. Three vegetarian options (including a gluten free variant) and five non-vegetarian options are part of the festival menu. Enjoy the classic Gnocchi alla Sorrentina (sweet potato gnocchi) with fresh mozzarella and fresh tomato basil sauce with a Rosé sangria or a Ravioli de Guancia de Manzo in Salsa di Burro Marone (braised tenderloin cheek ravioli ragout ravioli). For something more indulgent, try the Agnolitti Funghi con Tartufo (mushroom ricotta ravioli with truffle butter sauce, or Fettuccine allo Stufato di Angello (the lamb literally melts). Should you want to experiment, there’s always the twisted chickpea pasta, and the squid ink linguine. The pasta festival is on till Sunday, March 1.
