The view from the top is amazing. This lighthouse is the first working one I’ve seen. They even have a lift to take you up. So it’s suitable for elderlies in your group as well. I was lucky that the top was almost empty and my friends and I were the only people up there. I guess it was because the weather was not good and the sea was raging. But it was a marvellous sight, watching the waves crash at the big rocks on the coast with such intensity.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who is travelling and happens to go to Kovalam. Don’t miss the lighthouse. It's not got a great height, but it is constructed in the best spot.
