Jazzing it up
What started off as a solo project of Suryakant Sawhney in 2009 has now become a four-piece band with three albums to their credit. With music that falls into the genres gypsy jazz, waltz and cabaret along with hints of folk and psychedelic rock, the band is all set to arrive in town. Apart from frontman and vocalist, Suryakant, the group inclues Rohan on bass, Kartik on organ/guitar/electronics and Karan on beats yo.
Tracking it
While we still can't seem to stop listening to Love Demons, one of their first hits {with a quirky video to go with its energetic vibe}, we are looking forward to tracks from their recent vintagesque-sounding album, Climax {released in June, 2015}. With slow jams such as I'm Home and Copulations as well as electronica-infused Flies and Future Soul, we think the evening promises to be interesting.
