Bringing our favourite instant noodles in a new avatar and achieving a balance between veg and non-veg dishes.
Lowdown On The Ambience
While the white and bright yellow walls add to the peppy vibes, the place is quite small really. The outdoor seating {with a couple of tables and cane chairs} has artificial grass, giving the place a garden-esque look. Keeping with the casual ambience, their choice of board games include all-time favourites like Carrom, Chess, Scrabble, and Snakes And Ladders. You can even go ahead and doodle in the sketchbooks lying here.
What’s On The Menu?
PHEW offers momos, soups, Fattoush {a Lebanese salad made with fried pita bread pieces, greens and veggies}, snacks {think BBQ Wings and Honey Chilli Potatoes}, and Shawarma rolls to choose from. The best part? Right from the soups and salads to the appetisers and main course, the menu here has enough to please vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
Light Bites
We began with the Minced Chicken Pita Pockets with a filling of veggies and chicken tossed in olive oil, making it light yet filling. Vegetarians, try the Crispy Paneer Strips {paneer dipped in bread crumbs and deep fried} which goes well with the garlic yoghurt dip. If you’re up for some serious munching, go for the Snacks Platter {we tried the non-vegetarian one} and tuck in to everything from honey-glazed Chicken Lollipops to Dry Chicken Manchurian and Spring Rolls {a tad too salty on the day we went}.
Sizzling Hot
The mains here include only sizzlers, but with a twist. Think sizzling Maggi or Shawarma chicken! Probably the first to serve our favourite instant noodles in this all-new format, PHEW has the dish in paneer, mushroom and shredded chicken variants, to name a few. We tried the Mixed Non-Veg Insta-Noodles and loved it. While the familiar flavour is intact, there’s a hint of Indian spices and some veggies to give a nice crunch. Plus, sausages and shredded chicken to add some meat to the mix. To wash it all down, try their fizzy and refreshing Herbed Pineapple Lemonade or, perhaps a cappuccino.
So, We’re Thinking…
PHEW does make a cosy case thanks to its comfort food menu and its boardgames scene. However, the space constraint could pose an issue if you’re planning to go in a large group.
