Pineroots Art Cave In Koramangala: Gallery, Classes And Art Store

Artworks, classes, supplies, home decor pieces and even customised gifts — Pineroots Art Cave has a charming space dedicated to all things art.

Walk through Pineroots Art Cave in Koramangala and you’ll realise how aptly named it is. Offering plenty of artsy goodies and regular classes, it’s a gallery, store and class, all rolled into one. Started in 2013 by Jobin K Andrews {city-based filmmaker}, the place stands out with its almost rustic facade. Striking artworks featuring dance forms and graceful poses greet you as you make your way along the staircase to the art space on the first floor. With framed and glass paintings all around, there’s a pleasant chaos that adds to the charm, very unlike formal galleries.

We love that the space offers more than just the opportunity to gape at works by various artists. Art enthusiasts can stock up on basic supplies, including paints, brushes, varnishes, sketchbooks {look out for the hardbound ones} and even crayons or glitter pens. From vases {which can be used to place lights} to woodwork pieces from as far as Cambodia, there’s quite a lot here that you could add to your home. We particularly love the wooden photo frames with their slightly unfinished look as well as their collection of lampshades. What’s more, they even have customised gift options which range from stone printing and crystal engraving to portrait painting on request!

Apart from letting artists use the space for their work, Pineroots Art Cave has regular classes for everything from art {basic and advanced levels} and musical instruments {violin and guitar} to language {spoken and written Kannada and English}. Always up for customising the sessions as per students’ requirements, they offer individual as well as group lessons.
