Apart from its awe-inspiring beauty and geo-strategic location, Kashmir is also known for something much more fun - the Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC). It’s the only club in the state to have its own football team and has consistently been a source of inspiration to the youth of the valley. In just two years since its inception, the team has earned a promotion to the 2018-19 I-League with its extraordinary performance and has played a major role in bringing a football revolution in the state.
During this three-day photo-exhibition, the RKFC along with their kit partner, Adidas, is trying to showcase ‘Real Kashmir’ through the lens of the sport. The idea of the club has always been to channelise the energy of Kashmiri youths in a positive way and you will see this through the photographs. Plus, you get to meet Afshan Ashiq, Kashmir’s latest football sensation who currently plays for Premier India Football Academy.
