What Is It?

Presented by Sandbox Collective, Tape is a play performed by the theatre group, The Patchworks Ensemble, and will be held across three venues this week. The play follows the lives of drag queens, deep in Mumbai’s underground club scene, with tributes to the golden era of Indian Cinema {think Shammi Kapoor}.

Who Is It For?

For anyone who’s in the mood for something quite out of the ordinary. If you enjoy the off-kilter and/or alternative sides to art, this is for you.

Why Should I Go For It?

Using dance, music and projection, the play draws you into a secret world that’s kept under wraps for the most part. Along the lines of a cabaret show, what you’re getting is a glimpse into an alternate reality that you never knew you inhabited. Get ready to be provoked into thought. The play also celebrates women exploring masculinity.
