Whitefield residents today joined the #SaveWhitefield march in protest of the poor civic infrastructure and pitiable condition of roads in the area.

Whitefield rises

The residents of the neighbourhood are apparently no longer satisfied with daydreams of smooth roads and easy commutes. Techies, employees and residents of the area took time off from work today to participate in the Save Whitefield campaign, which happened between 10am-1pm today.

The worsened condition of the roads after constant rains over the past few weeks has made commuting all the more difficult for residents here. The protest was in lieu of urging citizens to raise their voices against the lack of maintenance and basic facilities in the area. The campaign, which took place today morning, had people gathering at seven different assembly points - Marathahalli Bridge, Graphite India, Hoodi, KTPO, Forum Value Mall, Nellurahalli, and ITPL.
