What Makes It Awesome?

Weekdays are all about running to office getting back home and hit the sack after a quickie dinner. More often dinner times are when the entire family has the time to at least sit together and eat a meal. And cooking eats into most part of that time, which is why Sikandar Says "leave the cooking to us". Sikandar in Whitefield is a new cloud kitchen that I tried, recently and absolutely loved the food. They have delicious combos (that I love) to choose from, so you have fewer decisions to make after a tiring day.

Ordered the Tangdi Kebab Combo, which came with hot Rotis, a portion of Dal Makhani, Salad, Green chutney and a rasgulla, beautifully packed, no spills, no Dal Makhani in Rasgulla, apt portions that’s good enough for a person, priced every reasonable as well

Also ordered the Seekh Kebab Biryani Combo, which came with generous kebab helpings embedded in the Biriyani, with a delicious thick Raita, salad and a rasgulla. Again packaging was just perfect, so spills, came warm, delivered quickly.

Coming to the taste, I have to say the chicken was beautifully marinated and cooked to perfection, delicious chargrilled flavours, complimented by the Chutney, the Roti and Dal Makhani was a deadly combo. The Dal Makhani was definitely slow-cooked to delicious perfection, it was a Version that I enjoyed in a very long time.

The Biriyani was delicious, it was a Punjabi style, Tawa Pulaoish Biriyani that was yummy, meaty, flavourful goodness. The Salan & Raita were a perfect accompaniment and the rasgulla in both the combos were just perfect, it’s a sea change from the usual Gulab Jamoons you get in combos.

Their menu is very extensive, so it will take some time to cover everything on their menu, even if you order every day before you start re-ordering your handpicked favourites.

Overall a great place to put your feet up, after coming back from office, and leave the cooking to Sikandar. Time to binge-watch designated survivor in Netflix, which devouring deliciousness from Sikandar, that’s my Wednesday plan, what’s yours.
