Let These Two Sanskari Girls Show You What It Means To Be A Woman In These Crazy Times

What Is It?

Watch the East and the West come together through Two Sanskari Girls, a spoken-word performance which follows the tale of two girls from different ends of the world. Put together by spoken word artistes Nupur Saraswat and Kate Black-Regan, these girls are touring worldwide with the show and this is their last stop in the city before heading to Berlin.

Who Is It For?

Anyone who enjoys a good performance. Incorporating elements of theatre, poetry, movement and song, this one-hour long show promises to be one of the biggest spoken-word perfomances the city had seen.

Why Should I Go For It?

Down with the patriarchy, ladies and gents. Time to redefine what it means to be a sanskari  {aka cultured or a woman of virtue} woman of society. The show will raise some important questions and spark thought-provoking debate, with ample instances of comic relief in between. Watch the story unfold from both ends of the spectrum as the tale cuts through cultures, conversations and things left unsaid. Lookout for cameos made by writer and dancer, Karunya Srinivasan and Shilok Mukkati, a Kannada poet and an award-winning trans-rights activist, who will add even more depth and dimension to the performance.
