Want to know how to blend exercise, art and passion for this fine city? Easy peasy — sign up for the Gathr Cycles Around, Street Art Hunting event tomorrow. Picking Rajyotsava for less traffic, and a way to ignite love for Bangalore, this one will see you ride from the Indiranagar Metro Station all the way to the Majestic Railway Station. And you have Gathr, Cuckoo Hostel and Grabonrent to thank for organising this.
If you’re interested in street art and want to explore the burgeoning scene in town, this gig’s for you. And for those who don’t quite know much about the concept then you really must go on this art tour! You’ll fall in love with the city — we vouch for it!
It’s essentially following the trail of art left by the wonderful St+Art folks. We already gave you a sneak-peek here but this is the real deal folks! You’ll be stopping off at all 15 spaces which the troop has turned into their canvas. While we’re looking forward to them all, the final stop — at Majestic. Home-boy Appupen has taken up that project and it tells the story of the Dharmambudhi Lake, on which the station has been build. It’s also touted to be India’s longest silent comic strip! So if this sounds like a fun morning, hop on your bicycle and get pedalling.
