For coffee powder and spices straight from the estate ready for consumption, the Malnad Box is a subscription based service (is what we're told) that will satisfy your need for some spice in life. Reasonably priced, with just about enough variety, the brand currently sources and sells tea, coffee, honey, and spices like cardamom, pepper star anise, cloves and cinnamon.
We didn't really buy any of the spices, but picked up a 250 gram pack of a mix of Robusta and Arabica beans (no chicory) for INR 350. The one with 10% chicory comes in a 200 gram pack for around INR 250. Of course if you want to sample the goods before purchase, you can get yourself a cuppa for INR 30 at the Malnad Blossom Coffee And Cream cafe in JP Nagar where it's available to purchase as well.
They have two varieties of honey; regular and forest. The former sells for INR 150 for 250 grams (or millilitres), and INR 500 for 350 grams of pure, unadulterated, organic forest honey. What makes it different is the potency and the thickness (and texture) which the folks at the cafe will be happy to demonstrate should you want to know. Their spices range between INR 150 and 350 for a 200 grams. You can opt for their subscriptions based on your monthly, quarterly or bi-annual needs, and it's all fair trade, so their products come straight from the picking!
