A short drive from Madikeri {around 10 minutes}, the Highland Homestay stands ensconced in acres of coffee plantations, offering travellers the chance of an ideal escape from the chaotic city life. Just six months old - this homestay is run by Mr. Thimmaya and his wife, Mrs. Rekha in Coorg. This bungalow really has a very beautiful view and I'm sure nature lovers will be overwhelmed by this view. Also, the owners are the most lovable, caring and humble people I have met in a long time. If you want to understand the culture whilst enjoying the best stays - then this is surely the place for you. I can personally vouch and say that Rekha is the best cook!
