Make Way To This Gastropub For Some Incredible Cocktails & Delish Food

What Makes It Awesome?

Biere Kraft located just opposite one of the large tech parks in Marathahalli neither disappoints with its wide variety of cocktails and mocktails nor with their amazing spread of food. One fine evening, a bunch of my food blogger friends and I decided to meet here mostly because of the proximity to most of our workplaces. I took a little stroll to reach the place with a promise to head back in about an hour. We started off with some delicious (but strong) mocktails and cocktails, then we tried a bunch of salads and finally, we gorged on the starters. The Som Tom or the Thai Raw Papaya salad was delicious. This vegetarian version packed quite a punch even without the addition of strong fish sauce and shrimp paste. And surprisingly enough, this vegetarian salad was served with a separate portion of prawn crackers, that I loved, but that doesn’t make the salad vegetarian, does it now? The Char-Grilled Chicken salad was good, but it did not live up to our expectations. On the starters front, the Cigar Roll with corn and cheese was decent. Baked Parmesan Mushrooms, in fact, stole the show, entirely. It had some of the most well-prepared mushrooms. The dish was perfectly cooked with butter and baked with a thin parmesan crust. The Thausi Potatoes were excellent with strong Chinese flavours and a heavy pepper punch, the Lasuni Chicken Tikka was well-made with the right amount of garlic, and the Rosemary Chicken Skewers alone were very ordinary, however, with the accompanied mint mayo, they tasted pretty good. Oh, and the pan-fried chilli fish was prepared Chinese-style and was delicious. Since I had to rush, I managed to savour a little bit of the mutton biriyani and Thai green curry chicken. The biriyani was excellent; one of the best I had recently. And I least expected such flavoursome biriyani from a place that’s more of a pub. The Thai green curry was excellent too - very authentic, flavoursome, and well-made. What led to a little disappointment was the sticky rice as it didn't go too well with the curry. I feel like jasmine rice or even plain basmati rice would have been a better option. Overall, a great place to hang out with friends and colleagues over some great food and drinks.
