Spice it up

Their menu cuts to the chase and serves up dishes that are exactly what they say on the menu. So what you read is what you get. We began with veggie nachos which were loaded with jalapeños, iceberg lettuce, cheese {plenty} and spring onions with actual corn nachos rather than processed, junk food ones. Top that off with a sweet and spicy Strawberry and Jalapeños drink and we were happy campers!

From Mexica, with love

Grilled chicken marinated in a chilli sauce and served with one too, really took us to Mexico, and it took us an Oreo milkshake to cool us down. But as fiery as the fajitas that came next were, we too wanted to take on some more heat. While very tasty indeed, the DIY Chicken Fajita was a bit toned down for the Indian palate. So ask for the chilli sauce to make it authentic. The tortillas are soft and the guacamole so dreamy we needed to pinch ourselves. Throw in some proper sour cream and salsa which is not ketchup, and you know Amit and Shalini, the owners, know exactly what they are doing here. Burritos are a heavy option owing to very generous servings of spicy rice, cheese, beans, and the meat. You’ll be wanting a doggy bag of the second half, we assure you! Especially if, like us, you need to leave room for the churros, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. And how glad we are for that!

The DL on ambience

Spread over three floors – a lounge setup, a wooden deck middle floor with open-air seating, and a herb and vegetable garden on the top to promote organic living, this place makes you forget you’re on the busy New BEL Road. Music from the 90s keeps you company and the quirky paintings on the walls of animated Mexican characters, adds colour.

So we’re thinking…

We’re most certainly coming back to this place. We haven’t have the chance to try the Enchiladas and Tacos which our fellow diners were gorging on you see!
