What Is It?

Joining global events that are celebrating the Bard's 400th anniversary, The Shakespeare Theatre Festival, in partnership with Inbuzzup {an events platform}, will bring to life four stellar adaptations. Watch As You Like It, Macbeth, King Lear and Hamlet, in a way that you have never seen before - with all the characters as clowns. So, really, you'll be watching Hamlet - The Clown Prince, Nothing Like Lear, Macbeth - What Is Done Is Done, and I Dont Like It, As You Like It. How's that for creativity folks! With big names from Bollywood and thespians part of the festival, this one is absolutely unmissable.

Who Is It For?

Fans of the Bard will be thrilled to see his work as an inspiration for such creativity and humour. In fact, if you know anyone who turns their nose up at his works, this might be a wonderful way to introduce them to the playwright's literature.

Why Should I Go For It?

Oh, you mean apart from the fact that it's a Shakespearean festival? Well, obviously to watch Vinay Pathak, Kalki Koechlin, Cyrus Sahukar, Ranvir Shorey and Neil Bhoopalam, among plenty more theatre talent, then. And when we tell you that the talented Rajat Kapoor is the director of the plays, then you'll wonder why you asked in the first place. He reinvents the Bard's script with some exciting narrative and reinterpretations. How else will Hamlet be a clown, Macbeth be Macky B, and men be women and women play men in the adaptation of As You Like It. Brace yourself before gibberish {yup, it's part of the script} and let the drama unfold. We're all set for this to be an interesting ride.
