Talvin Singh

The London-born producer, composer, and tabla player is live as part of the Art Bengaluru festival on all week. You can check out some of his work here:

Tails on Fire are a Chennai-based alt-rock band known for their high-energy performances, so make sure you come prepared.

Nicholson

The Mumbai-based live electronica musician often draws favourable comparisons with James Blake, and for good reason. At this gig, Nicholson plays live on synth/keys and vocals; he’s accompanied by electronic duo Dirty Jays and Rohan Ramanna on Drums. If you want a little preview, check out his Bandcamp.

Aabha Hanjura and Sufistication

This act combines qawwali, ghazals, Sufi music, and original material. The evening features an opening set by Dhruv Visvanath, who describes his music as “solo percussive acoustic guitar.”

Poets of the Fall

Poets of the Fall live in Bangalore

Finnish rockers Poets of the Fall head back to the city this weekend as part of their Jealous Gods tour. Bangalore-based Girish and the Chronicles open for them.
