The weekend is finally here. Instead of going to the same old pub, we did all the ground work for you and here are some cool ways to spend the weekend that do not involve eating out or going drinking.

Go To A Fancy Handloom And Handicraft Exhibition

Handlooms, handicrafts and farm based food products, find it all here. The Exhibition/Sale at the Ragi Kana this weekend is a four-day long affair, that will feature the work of the various agricultural and handloom co-operatives of Karnataka. Apart from gorgeous textiles in natural dyes from organisations like Dastkar Andhra and Desi Trust, you should find some wholesome organic food products straight from their source. This culture trip will also include folk dance performances, workshops and a bunch of other activities. Take your mom along to show her how much you’ve grown since your Forever 21 days.

Get Out and #Play

Come on down to Church Street Social this Saturday and be a part of Under 25’s #Play, the official pre-event to Times UniverCity 2017. Take a trip down memory lane and play all your favourite boardgames like Scrabble, Monopoly and a bunch of others. Their also hosting a foosball league, so you and your best bud can put your skills to the test.

Spend The Day At A Flea Market

Everyone’s favourite flea market is back. Head on over to the ITPB Cricket Grounds this Sunday and be a part of the latest edition of the Sunday Soul Sante. With over 250 stalls of art, fashion, design and food, have yourself a day packed with activity, good company and great music. If you’re still not convinced, here are some more reasons to go.

Attend A Film Screening

Explore the local talent of the Indian film scene and attend some of the film screenings conducted by The National Gallery of Modern Art on Friday, Saturday and Sunday {May 12, 13, 14} . The screenings starts at 5.30pm and entry is free. But this works on a first come first serve basis as well, so show up on time. Most of the films are in English, and the two Tamil films on the list will be screened with English subtitles.
