Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple

What Makes It Awesome

Located 60kms from Bengaluru, near the very famous Nandi Hills, built a whopping thousand years ago is our today's #tattetedtale, the very aesthetic Bhoga Nandishwara Temple.
The Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was patronised by multiple rulers, who each added to the original wing with same flair of Dravidian Architecture without tampering previous work.
A massive complex houses numerous temples, namely the the Arunachaleshwara, Bhoga Nandeeshwara and Uma Nageshwara depicting different stages of Shiva's life from childhood to adulthood in the respective order.
The architectural marvel after being neglected for decades is under protection of Archeological Survey of India. The complex houses three sub complexes, the Maha Mantapa, Vasantha Mantapa and Pushkarni.
The Kalyani situated in the third complex, the Pushkarni, is significant for being a canvas to sun's play with its symmetry and also as abode for turtles and fishes.
The temple is also decorated time and again for people tying the knot here.
It isn't shy from movie shootings and photo shoots as well.
Any amount of words will fall short to describe the monumental masterpiece the temple is.
There are a million of things that'll catch your attention, so go ahead and explore the complex, if you haven't already.
