Ten-second takeaway

The Tortilla Theatre Festival stages around 40 brand new short plays over three weekends, and you won't want to miss it.

Short and sweet

With The Tortilla Theatre Festival just around the corner, we're guessing you might just have to block your Saturday and Sunday evenings all through February. Organised by The Tortilla Entertainment Company (a city-based entertainment production house), it brings together almost 40 short plays, lasting 15 minutes approximately, in the three weekends of February. And, the best part? All the performances are completely new! With different categories for each of the six evenings and entries from all over the country, we're definitely bookmarking this one.

 Playing it up

While the first weekend will have mime, comedy, drama and, physical and devised theatre, you can look forward to plays featuring adaptations of Indian authors as well as new writing by local authors in the second week of the festival. The final weekend, described as the piece de resistance of the event, will have short musicals and shows for (and by) children. Looks like it's going to be a play-ful month!
