What Is It?

The Under 25 Club {a city-based initiative to encourage and engage innovators below the age of 25} celebrates the community of young writers, literature enthusiasts and readers in the country {particularly between ages 18 and 25} with the Under 25 Lit Fest 2016. Expect everything from talks by authors and workshops to open mic sessions and book swaps.

Who Is It For?

While it might make for a perfect Sunday plan for book lovers and aspiring writers in the city, they have quite a few activities to make sure the others don't feel too left out.

Why Should I Go For It?

The lineup of speakers includes authors like Jeet Thayil, Jaishree Mishra and Durjoy Dutta as well as Vani Mahesh {founder of EasyLib, the city's oldest online circulating library} and journalist, Vasanthi Hariprakash. Look out for the Human Library, a session on ‘turning people into stories’, led by Karishma Mehta who runs the Facebook page, Humans of Bombay. Do sign up for workshops on everything from storytelling to performance poetry. Apart from a Bring Your Own Book session which lets you exchange your favourite tome with a fellow reader, there are open mic sessions, slam poetry, pop-up libraries and live acts, too.
