Surrounded by the hills, carpeted in green, Nadibhag Beach is perfect for just perching on the rocks that jut out of the sea while catching a sunset. In the early morning, you can watch fishermen readying their boats for the day. If you prefer something more secluded head over to Honey Beach. The Belekeri Beach that sits just outside Ankola is also a popular stop.
The river Gangavalli separates Ankola from sunny Gokarna. And it is a great spot for a getaway if you prefer something slightly different. The river snakes its way through thick foliage so keep your camera handy to snap up a few gorgeous clicks. We also recommend taking a trek uphill to see where the river meets the vast sea.
