Considered one of the most creative artistes in beat-boxing culture, French artiste, Faya Braz will be in town with his signature music. Musical loops on his Loopstation and even complete songs as part of the playlist, this one looks promising. There's even a workshop for aspiring beat-boxers and the screening of a documentary on hip hop to look out for. Read more about it here.

Going beyond the online realm of the daily newsletter, The Alipore Post {curated by Kolkata-based Rohini Kejriwal} has an offline gathering this weekend. Along with curated musical performances by artistes like Kumail, there are poetry readings, art exhibitions, movies and even workshops {want to learn juggling and hooping?} on the cards. National Youth Poetry Slam

Touted to be the first national level poetry slam in the country, the National Youth Poetry Slam has two whole days of spoken word poetry in store for you. We're looking forward to performances by American poet, Sarah Kay {founder and co-director of ProjectVoice, which uses poetry as an educational tool} as well as actor, Kalki Koechlin. Also featuring works by some of the country's best young poets as they battle it out onstage, this one's worth bookmarking. Read more about it here.
