What's Happening

The Ziro Music Festival is set to happen over 4 days at the end of September at the Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh. The festival sponsored by Government agencies, the North Eastern Council and the State’s Government is set to see 40 acts on two stages, and welcome around 6000 attendees. The festival will focus on art, celebrate independent music and it’s creators, and the culture of the place and the local tribe. While the music’s playing, you can check out live art installations, workshops by artisans and maybe pick up some souvenirs from local arts and craft groups. The outdoor festival is organised by and largely contributes to tourism for the state and cultural exposure for the Apatanis’ people that live there. The best part is that you have an option to camp at the festival camping ground, tents and all! Of course they have day passes for those of you who’d rather explore the rest of the town. The organisers have collaborated with local travel groups and have combo packages available that enable you to visit the festival as well as travel around the area through the week for a higher price.
