#MurukkuMonsoon: Munch On These Hot, Budget Bajjis Starting INR 5 This Rainy Season
What Makes It Awesome
It was one of those lazy afternoons when Chennai felt like Bangalore thanks to the climate. Just when we stepped out, the rain started to pour and we took shelter under Sri Sairam Hot Chips. We thank the rain gods for bringing us to this place that served hot coffee and drool-worthy snacks. The scent of fresh pakodas wafting across was irresistible, and what’s better than some pakodas and a filter kaapi on a rainy day?
We also binged on bajji that cost INR 5 and it was delish. Looking for more options? They have murukku, thattai, potato chips, boondhi, karachev, banana chips, ribbon pakoda, and thenkuzhal at INR 20. The bajjis and pakodas are freshly made and piping hot. Their wheel, triangular, and salted potato chips brought back happy memories of school!
This place is an officegoer’s paradise, the owner Shanmugam tells us. The budget prices and fresh snacks make people line up every day and keep them wanting for more. These snacks go perfectly well with a hot cup of chai, so turn off Swiggy and scarf down these piping hot snacks at pocket-friendly prices!
