One of Chennai’s oldest food search groups, Chennai Food Guide is hosting its first of a kind, Food Truck and Music Festival. This brand new event comes at the heels of Chennai’s food truck revolution that’s been happening over the last few years. There’s so many to choose from, and this fest brings the best all together in one venue. There’s over 35 trucks coming; you can enjoy crispy dosas and fluffy idlies from The Madras Chutney’s colourfully painted auto, lip smacking egg cheese sliders from Bangalore’s own The Bite Club, juicy chicken burgers from BBQ Ride (they operate off of a motorbike!) waff-sandwiches from That Waffle Place, and a host more from Bangalore, Kochi and our own Chennai. To add to the festivities, there’s music too with bands like Staccato, Yuvadhwani, Effwind, Among and The Homies and a range more.

Here's Why You Have To Go To The Chennai Food Truck & Music Festival This Weekend
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Foodies, this is the event we’ve you’ve all been waiting for. The best of Chennai’s food scene is going to be on one big lawn in VGP and what’s more entry to this event is free if you sign up online now (link below)! Apart from the crazy noms, the music festival promises to have something for everyone (Hip-hop, Indie Rock, Carnatic, etc) and more importantly will feature up and coming local talent, making this a great way to listen to new music.
Why Should I Go For It?
Chennai as a city doesn’t have too many options food wise compared to cities like Bangalore and Mumbai, and while our own food is just as amazing, the chance to sample the best of what other cities have to offer, right in our backyard, is exciting. Most of the food is very reasonably priced too as they’re food trucks, so if budget noms is your thing then this is your Mecca. Add in a lively music fest, and it’ll be a fun evening for you and the gang. When: Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8 Where: VGP Universal Kingdom, Injambakkam Timings: 11am to 10pm For more info, click here and register here for free entry passes.
