Shrey, a young perfumer, started Ensens to create an organic perfume line using essential oils and naturally-sourced aroma chemicals. We came across this brand at a pop-up in Chennai and were immediately sold as they let you make your own perfumes, but with a twist.
With nearly twenty to twenty-five perfume notes which help decide the intensity of the flavour and strength of the perfume's smell, Ensens lets you create a perfume that is a proper extension of your personality. These notes are further divided into three categories: base notes, heart notes and top notes. You can pick one or more note from each category. Say you are an extrovert and like a strong smell. You can then go for dark musk for the base note, jasmine for the heart note and orange oil for the top note. Tadaaa! You have a perfume that is customised by you and suits your personality. Interesting, ain't it?
Apart from this, Ensens offers a set of three signature flavours namely Desi Gulab - a fusion of rose, cinnamon and fresh grass, Bliss - a fusion of jasmine, muguet (French for Lily of the valley), vanilla and cedarwood and our favourite (and also their best seller), Maliblu - an ocean-themed flavour made of musk, vanilla bean, bergamot and peach. Priced at INR 250 for 10 ml, we think it's a steal!
