Shortcut

Khopcha is a new cafe in Kilpauk that serves dishes with a cheesy twist under a budget.

What Makes It Awesome

Khopcha Cafe is located on the first floor of an unimpressive old building, but enter the cafe and you immediately get the hey-this-could-be-our-next-hangout-spot-vibe. With limited seating, this tiny cafe is a cheese-lovers haven.

They have an impressive line up of finger food starting with cheese vegetable canapĂ© (INR 129), that was crispy and vanished from our plates in no time. We recommend their baked bean toast topped with cheese and found it to be a pleasant change from the usual cheese garlic bread. My companion, however, dug into the potato shots (INR 149) which is boiled potato stuffed with cheese, onion, bell pepper and garlic masala. They have a few options for Maggi lovers (starting INR 99). However, their double cheese Maggi has an overdose of cheese, even for a cheese lover!

Heard of Afghani momo? Get to the cafe to calm your curiosity. (Think regular moms dipped in spicy masala gravy and yogurt). We give their Mongolian rice and noodles (INR 199) a thumbs up. Try their Mumbaiyaa pav bhaji sizzler (also has cheese) if you are looking for something different than the usual pizza and pasta.

What Could Be Better

The building is cramped and parking will be an issue. Be prepared. If you are not the I-love-cheese-kind, give this one a pass.

Pro-Tip

They have four different kinds of combos - Italian, Mexican, Indian and Chinese that start from INR 249.
