Yay! We Dropped By Kiehl's First Store In Chennai And Got Free Samples To Boot

America’s popular skincare brand Kiehl’s has finally opened in Phoenix Marketcity and did you know they offer complimentary consultations and give out free samples too?

On the ground floor of one of our favourite malls, Phoenix Marketcity, is the new Kiehl’s store. With its raw naked brick walls, wooden flooring and an actual skeleton {Mr Bones he’s called} in a lab coat to greet you, this American apothecary brand that’s been around for 167 years {OMG} creates concoctions  to take care of all your beauty needs.  They are a tad bit expensive, but you can opt for their consultation where they’ll hand you free samples of the products for your skin type. So you have the option of knowing if it’s worth it and if it suits your skin before you commit to purchasing it, which is obviously the most important thing. Find racks and racks of customer favourites and goodie bags of shampoos {the wheat and rice volumising shampoo is a hot pick}, skin care and body care products too. The 359 sq. ft  store brings the spirit of this New York City-based apothecary to us Chennaites and I got a consultation done too.

I was told that I had an oily T-zone and the rest of my skin was super dry. And I generally have very sensitive skin. So the “skin scientist” gave me free sachets of the following products: Clearly Corrective White Foaming Cleanser, Calendula Herbal Extract Toner {that is alcohol free}, Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution {just two drops of this to be used to clear the spots on my face}, Midnight Recover concentrate {which we’ve been hearing rave reviews about}, and Brightening and Smoothening Moisture Treatment for my daily routine. He also gave me the Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque to use once a week. All this, for free!

I can’t wait to see how this pans out and will be back to purchase what worked best for my skin. I ‘ve been a fan of their lip balm for ages { you can get these for just INR 650} — they come in plain or mango flavours in tubes. If you want some colour, check out their coloured lip balm range Butterstick Lip Treatment SPF 25 that are more expensive though and are over INR 1,000. Men, don’t worry they’ve got products for you too like the brushless shave cream to nourishing beard groom oil. And for the babies in the family, there’s a Gentle Hair & Body Wash too. If you don’t mind splurging check out their legendary Creme de Corps for luxurious moisturisers, body polishes {with soy milk and honey} and more.
