New restaurant Kimberly House on Harrington Road, will give you an opportunity to dine on a Tamil European menu, which goes back to the 1950s. Kimberly House is a beautiful bungalow constructed in the 50s, and stepping into the restaurant might make you feel like you have stepped into a home rather than an eatery. The beautiful bungalow can definitely be an inspiration for your Instagram feed.

Their menu offers everything from hot chocolates to masala milk, and even the traditional paneer soda {the goli kind}. Then there’s of course pots of tea to be had and filter coffee {they even do a French Press version}. Gunpowder idlis, scrambled eggs on whole wheat toast, and skinny strawberry French toast are brekkie options here. There’s also mini dosas, puliyogare, carbonara pasta and vegan mousakka. Look out for the intriguing Kal’s Tea Soup, a dish that comes with plenty of vegetables and herbs cooked with brown or white rice and served with a hearty tea soup. Dessert looks good too, mixing the Tamil {iced payasam} with the European {vanilla bean ice cream}, tender coconut jelly, dark chocolate almond cake slice, and even the traditional Akkaravadisal. Yum! We are going to check out the food here soon. Watch this space for more!
