What Makes It Awesome?

Here is a general knowledge question - who invented freakshakes? The right answer to that would be the cafe - Patissez, a brand from Australia. With two branches in India and the third one in Chennai, this cozy, Pinteresty cafe is a must-visit if you are in Phoenix Marketcity.

We suggest you start with freakshakes - they have options like Heartella (which is a fully loaded Nutella shake, with Little Hearts stuck all around the jar, vanilla cream, and some more chocolate). Phew! If strawberry is bae, then check out Cheshire Cat (cheesecake shake, rose cream, milk crumbs, yummy, and white chocolate blondie) They have other options like Mint Condition, Michael Jackson, and Gay Pat. If you want something simpler, try the Neat Shakes that come in oval-shaped glasses. They come in options like Actual Strawberry, Nutella, Banoffee, Cookies N Cream, Sea Salt, Salted Caramel Espresso, and Real Vanilla Bean.

We will say it the other way round here. Wash it all down with their simple list of appetizers. We tried their Melagu Pongal Arancini - which is essentially Pongal in the form of cheese balls. Pair it with roasted garlic dip and you are just having a modified version of Pongal. A must-try, however, is their Mushroom Albondigas - minced mushroom dumpling, tomato, and feta. They also have the usual suspects like Cheese Garlic Bread, Fried Spinach Ravioli, and Zucchini Fritters. As for their non-vegetarian starters, check out Grilled Chicken 75s, Kheema Pav, Prawn Devils, and Hot Creole Wings.

While you are devouring the freakshakes (it takes a while to finish one of them), try their pizzas and pasta. As for pizzas, we went with the Three Cheese Pizzas. We recommend this to people who love all forms of cheese. The layered cheese comes with a tomato base and melts down your mouth. For something more desi, try the Pizza Tandoori with paneer and Palak N Paneer. While my companion, went with Tomatoes and BBQ Vegetables - the veggies were done to the T and the paneer slab only took us to paneer land. Burgers, wraps, and toasties - they have all of that, too.

The white brick walls, innovative lighting, casual seating, and a splash of pop colours on the walls make this cafe one of the prettiest cafes at Phoenix Marketcity.
