Some photographs can speak 100 words and this award-winning portraiture project proves that. The exhibition at Gallery Veda called Phaneng is about the disappearing Tai Phake, a Buddhist tribe in India's Northeast.
The project is by Samar Singh Jodha, a photographer and installation artist who over the last 20 years, has been using photography and film to address various issues like development, human rights, and conservation. His works have been shown across national and international galleries, forums and museums.
