What Is It?

The Tamil Vegan Movement, a social justice cause aiming to bring together vegan Tamilians from all over the world, is hosting a vegan potluck in the city on January 20. The potluck is to promote veganism and advocate animal rights, and will be conducted in collaboration with Veg Voyages — Vegan Adventure Tours, a US-based travel company that organises vegan adventure tours. The potluck is also aiming to bring together likeminded folks as well as travellers to come together for conversation and some great food.

Who is It For?

Although the purpose of this potluck is to promote conversation and animal rights, we feel it is a great way to meet new people and taste some interesting vegan food from around the world.

Why Should I Go For This?

And the good news is that since south Indian food has a lot of vegan elements to it, you are most welcome to bring any regional specials too. We hear that there will apparently be mock meat, vegan chocolates and even local specials such as the beloved puliyogare {tamarind rice} and kuli paniyarams! The programme will be kick off at 6.30pm at the Hanu Reddy Residences in the neighbourhood of Poes Garden.

And how do you make it to this potluck? Just make sure you register your name and the vegan dish you will be bringing along to the potluck, by signing up on their Facebook event page here.
