Another temple in Pathanamthitta District, around 15 kilometres from Thumpamon, this place is one of Lord Vishnu's Divya Desams ( The 108 temples Lord Vishnu revered). This is a temple for Lord Krishna, who is also known as Parthasarathy) and is one of the most prominent ones in Kerala. Situated on the banks of the Pamba River, Aranmula Parthasarathy temple is famous for the Valla Sadya festival that happens every year on the eve of Ashtami Rohini, generally falling in the month of August.
