UK-based Wrapchic, a food chain that fuses Mexican food and Indian masala, is here in India and their first store is open in Chennai!

What Makes It Awesome

When Mexican food meets Indian spices and masala, what do you get? Wrapchic! And we can't contain our excitement because Chennai is the first city to have an outlet for this UK-based brand. Wrapchic - The Indian Burrito Company, as the name suggests, focuses mainly on burritos.

Take a look at the menu and you will be tempted to try all of them. However, we settle for Cottage Cheese, Nachos & Salsa Lazeeb Burrito (INR 199), which comes in a flour tortilla and is filled with rajma, paneer masala, tandoor gravy, and tikka masala gravy. One bite into this one and you'll be left with a spicy, masaledar aftertaste. My companion liked how his Chicken Tikka Burrito uncovered itself and offered different flavours with each bite. Sanjana Konduru, the owner of the franchise tells us that the Mutton Potli (INR 229) is one of their signature burritos and a must-try.

Besides just burritos, they also have a list of rice bowls (starting INR 179) to choose from - think - Hyderabad Chicken Biryani, Mexican Butter Chicken, Peppery Red Jhinga and Corn, Mix Veg Pulao, and more. They also have some interesting wraps and nachos for those looking for a quick bite. Try their Wraposas (From INR 99), which is nither a wrap nor a samosa and is a fusion of both. It comes in four different flavours and is a good snack.

Don't forget to order a drink alongside the yummy food. Their Mango Slush, as well as their Oreo Milkshake, gets a thumbs up from us.

What Could Be Better

We thought their Paneer Masaledar Quesadilla was a tad greasy and could do better with some flavours.

Pro-Tip

You also have the option of choosing your own filling and making your own burrito, wrap, quesadilla and rice bowl.
