Hosteller

We typically associate hostels with depressing dingy places, where rooms are filled to the brim with people, like sardines in a can. And usually, we’re right. But every once in a while, something like the Hosteller crops up, making us super happy to be proved wrong.

Started by three friends, Pranav Dangi, Amit Bhola and Sridhar Rajagopal, The Hosteller is a haven for travellers on a budget. At a mere INR 500 per night, you get a bed, complimentary breakfast, a personal locker, and unlimited access to free WiFi, TV, PlayStation, and all the common areas.

Perfect for those who want to meet new people and share their experiences, The Hosteller is high on socialising and encourages it at every point. They aim to popularise the backpacking culture, and become a sort of meeting point for travellers. Complete with a full-fledged library and a foosball table, it’s difficult to get bored here.

The guys who started it are super involved, love to play host, and are willing to help you out with where to go, where to order and even what to order {since the rest of the meals are not on the house}, and are more than happy to address whatever queries you may have about anything in the city or wherever else you’re headed to.

If you’re travelling in a group and are apprehensive about the stranger danger situation, you can always request The Hosteller to give you a whole dorm for your group. They currently have one female dedicated dorm and four mixed ones, but are open to converting these according to your requirements and concerns. If you’d like a private room all to yourself, go ahead and ask for one {additional charges apply of course}.

The end objective of The Hosteller peeps is to make sure you have a great time. So if you’re looking for a place to crash and good company, they’re your guys.
