The red-tiled roof, the giant, wooden wheel in the driveway and the greenery that surrounds it; everything here comes together to add to the charm. The rooms are a nice mix of the contemporary and the antique. You’ll get comfortable beds alongside wooden bureaus, with wood and stone detailing to embellish the already comfortable rooms.

The best bit, however, is the tree house. You can make your way up to this spot {to unwind; not stay} to catch breathtaking views of Wayanad. They also have a dedicated dining area, where you can dig into all the delicious meals brimming with a variety of local flavours.

We recommend a visit during the summer or the cosy winters {the monsoons might be too wet}. Your travel itinerary should include a trek through a forest to the thunderous Soochipara Falls; a three-tiered cascade. If you have an adventurous streak in you and a bit of rock climbing experience under your belt, we recommend that you scale the cliffs here. Another spectacular sight is the Meenmutty Falls, where you can witness the gorgeous waters thrashing down the rugged hills. The Chembra Peak, too, is a must visit for the breathtaking scenery.
