A Writers’ Workshop: Support Group for Broken People (2nd)

The information in this post might be outdated

A Writers’ Workshop series organized by Bring Back The Poets, Delhi, where we meet over the weekends to do what we do best (and/or sometimes we don’t): WRITE. We could all (anyway) always do with some loving/poetry/forging new friendships/or just enough coffee and cigarette breaks. Nowadays there are a lot of names given to things we’ve felt all our lives - disorders, depressions, many clinical words that diagnose the symptoms of the modern condition and other traumas. While we don’t doubt the legitimacy of these labels and what lies behind them, we believe that this feeling of brokenness that shadows our all-the-time also holds us together. Connected but alone, we’re constantly surrounded by people and things we can reach out to, stuff that helps us out sometimes sometimes not, and sometimes we just need to be alone with ourselves to figure things out. So here’s a writers’ support group where we learn through and converse with each other - meet, share and speak our brokenness and see if writing can be our Kintsugi. The workshop will explore some broken readings, broken writing prompts and exercises, and broken discussions. Our second writing workshop, A Support Group for Broken People, is at 3pm on 16th July, 2017 at Hearken Cafe in Shahpur Jat. It’s a 3-4 hours workshop. We’d prefer to keep the groups very small (10-12 only), so we urge you to register at the soonest before the spots run out.
