Amaterasu Cafe is introducing the concept of a modern Japanese casual cafe in India. The decor is minimal and quintessentially Japanese; somewhat reminiscent of Muji. When you enter, you are made to take off your footwear and change into Japanese slippers {pictured}, and immediately transported to the land of the s=rising sun. The smiling Japanese owner, dressed in a Kimono, plays the perfect host by checking if you are comfortable and explaining the concept behind the decor and the food. All the food is strictly plant-based but tastes delicious.

Order the Matcha Latte. The owner will come sit at your table and ceremoniously prepare the tea. She will then teach you the right way to drink it just like the Japanese do.
