A bi-annual event, the Goethe Institut will be screening four movies {one after the other} at their ‘Simply Crazy’ movie night, along with a smashing Book Bazaar. There’s food and drinks too!

Age of Cannibals

Directed by Johannes Naber, this is a movie that focusses on Öllers and Niederländer, two highly paid consultants, who travel the world {mainly third-world countries} for their greedy clients. A parody of sorts, it charts the ambitions and greed of the new elite. Look out for sharp commentary on the corporate structure and radical Islamists.

F*ck You Goethe

Zeki Müller is a petty, down-on-his-luck criminal who's just been released from prison. Through a comedy of errors, he becomes the assistant teacher at a high school where his wacky methods raise eyebrows, but helps his students flourish. It forces him to question his criminal past and whether he ever wants to return to it.

Whisky With Vodka

A real ladies’ man, Otto is a veteran actor, way past his prime. When a local actor joins the crew of his new movie as an understudy, the unreliable star has to find new ways of validating himself. Catch this comedy for a peek into the sometimes-unkind world of filmmaking.
