8 Things to Try at Wai Wai Presents Asian Hawkers Market

The information in this post might be outdated

With as many as 24 multi-award winning restaurants handing out the good stuff {all priced below INR 500} hawker-style, this Wai Wai presents Asian Hawkers Market sounds like it’s going to be one merry affair.

While we love being spoilt for choices, our stomachs, we’re afraid, can’t always handle the amount of food we consume, which is why we thought we’d scout for the stuff you absolutely must not miss when you get there. You can thank us later.

Crispy Seaweed at Royal China

Gluten-free Dim Sums at Pan Asian

Consider this a happy start to the Asian Hawkers Market if you may. Allergic to wheat or not, we suggest you try these gluten-free rice-paper dim sums stuffed with preserved vegetables, or Chinese cabbage chicken.

Special Baos by SocialOffline

Yes, we all know Social for their kickass LIITs and Dava Daarus, but this time that’s not what they’re here for. They’re going to serve special baos especially for this Asian affair, and if their cocktail concoctions are any indication, you shouldn’t be disappointed.

Spicy Asian food at Red Hot Cafe

The oldest Thai restaurant in Delhi, Red Hot will be serving authentic Malaysian, Thai, and Chinese cuisine at the market, and be warned, the food might be rather spicy {if the name didn’t already give that away}.

Vietnamese finger food at Pho Kart

We’re not sure if it’s just us, but we haven’t seen too many restaurants serving Vietnamese cuisine in the city, which is why we can’t wait to get our hands on some of the awesome finger food that Pho Kart will be dishing out at the fair.

Waffle Sandwiches at PiccoLicko

Look out for PiccoLicko to satisfy all those sweet cravings. While we love their yoghurt and cream-based ice creams {we’re partial to the Cheeku Mango}, it’s their Waffle Sandwiches we’ll be going back for.

The alcohol by ATM & PCO

These exclusive members-only clubs are actually going to run the exclusive liquor enclosure at Asian Hawkers Market, but this time it will be open for everyone {woot!}. We’re expecting some exciting and unusual cocktails to keep the buzz going for all three days of the festival.
