Australian Wine, BBQ And Shopping: It’s Time For The Oz Haat Picnic Again

The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

Oz Haat is something of an annual tradition. The charity mela lets us enjoy the best of Delhi winter, out in the lawn. It’s also got a flurry of activities, live music, food and shopping to keep us in good spirits. So, obviously, you’ll find us there on December 2 again this year.

Who Is It For?

Families, friends, frenemies and everyone who digs a day of eating authentic Aussie food {and alcohol} and shopping for hand-made products.

Why Should I Go For It?

Why would you turn it down should be the question here. The haat brings together NGO communities from all over the country so you can pick up unique home decor, clothes, textiles, jewellery, Christmas baubles, packaged food and more. All the money you spend obviously goes to the charities the stalls represent.

If you want to sip Australian wine under the sun or devour meats at the special BBQ table, you totally can – there are magic shows, art and craft and a bouncy castle to keep the children gainfully occupied and away from the bar.

Anything Else?

The most important bit: The entry is free.
