Our search for offbeat decor and furniture randomly landed us at Gauri Tripathi Jaiswal’s brand MuseArt. It’s a dedicated space for bespoke art that’s gorgeous, but without being shockingly overpriced. While her studio is in Bengaluru, she delivers to Delhi.

What started as something Gauri would do on the side with a couple of freelance assignments and made-to-order pieces for friends, began to blossom. So, she decided to ditch her full-time job to follow her heart and MuseArt was born. Her rich experience as the ex art director at Cosmopolitan magazine and longish stint with advertising as a creative bee have both helped her introduce her hand-painted decor and furniture range to the world by the way of stunning photoshoots. The collection includes everything from tables to boxes and bowls to diyas. 

We love that no two pieces she creates are the same. In fact, she might even say no to replicating a design stroke for stroke and colour for colour even if you request for it. “I believe in giving things my own spin. So, yes references are welcome but I would usually not work with a client who wants me to copy a painting onto a table. I might tweak the design, so it’s in tune with my sensibilities and the colour palette I like to work with,” explains Gauri.
