What Makes It Awesome?

We stumbled upon this outlet O'Pao while returning back from a party at Nehru place Epicuria and I finally found one authentic Bombay food outlet in Delhi. This outlet's tagline "Bombay food at its Best" drew my attention as we drove past Mount Kailash apartments. Being a Mumbaikar, for years I was wanting one that serves pao bhaji and vada pao, similar in taste to what I get in Bombay. So, firstly, just to check their authenticity claims, we ordered for their Cheese O'Pao Bhaji, Vada O'Pao and Masala O'Pao. And it was so delicious! Just the right amount of spice and the pavs were so soft and fluffy and nicely buttered. Encouraged by this start, we further ordered for each of their Bombay grilled sandwiches, Dabeli O'Pao, Tawa Pulao and Masala O'Pops (Chef special).

All of it was tasty and full of flavours but the Dabeli won our hearts. The sitting was outdoors in what seemed like an exterior food court with two more other food outlets serving Chinese and Punjabi food items. O'Pao was the only one serving Pure Vegetarian food. We were told that they have these specials running every day in which the chef gives a twist to some iconic Bombay dishes. Will be back soon for these and some more of that pao bhaji. 😊

What Could Be Better?

The serving time was a little slow as we could see that all the dishes were freshly prepared.
