There’s few things which make for an absolutely satiating meal (be it breakfast, lunch or dinner) than a piping bowl of chickpeas spiced to perfection with a side of onions and green chillies, and fluffy bhature.

Like all Dilliwalahs, we love our chhole bhature too, and here are favourite places in the city for this divine meal.

Baba Nagpal Corner

Perhaps Amar Colony’s most happening spot, Baba Nagpal boasts of some of the best chhole bhature in town. They do their grub in a typical Punjabi way, with lots of masala. In case you want to ditch the bhatura, you can also opt for puris or chawal.

Price: Starting at INR 85 for one plate (approx.)

Chache Di Hatti

Chache Di Hatti is often frequented by the college crowd and has a total of two things on their menu: plain Chhole Bhature and Aloo Chhole Bhature (wherein the bhature is stuffed with potatoes). Needless to say, this tiny little stall is always buzzing with people, but the line is fast-moving. You can also buy chhole by weight here.

Price: INR 80 upwards (approx.)

Roshan Di Kulfi

The name may have you visualizing a tiny stall offering a variety of kulfi. But Roshan Di Kulfi has a full-fledged menu full of thalis and yes, they do a killer plate of Punjabi style chhole with bhature. They are super heavy though, so go on an empty stomach.

Price: INR 125 for one plate (approx.)

Om Corner

Spicy chhole paired with bhature laced with a mix of urad dal and red chilli powder. Need we say more?

Sita Ram Diwan Chand

Possibly the most popular joint for chhole bhature in the city, Sita Ram Diwan Chand starts its day early, and by 9 am, is already on the verge of being crowded with a herd of regular customers. Their paneer-laced bhatura and spiced channa served with pickled carrots is something else.

Shiv Mishthan Bhandar

Although Shiv Mishthan Bhandaar is most visited for its Bedmi Aloo, they also do excellent chhole bhature. And when you have an AC dining hall to feast at, it only makes everything that much more convenient.

Nand Di Hatti

Started by the late Nand Lal Ji aeons ago, Nand di Hatti has its roots in Pakistan’s Raja Bazaar. The bhaturas are prepared with semolina, white flour and yoghurt. Their chhole do not contain onion and garlic, but you won’t even miss them.

A West Delhi favourite, Prem Di Hatti in Rajouri Garden is known for its scrumptious Chhole Bhature and Chur Chur Naan. Reminiscent of the dhabas of Amritsar, this place is a must-visit when in the area.
