Shout-out to all the smoky Joes out there. Our town is flush with lounges, bars, and cafes that serve some of the smoothest and most flavourful hookahs. Famous, undiscovered, or new, here are the best places to go for a satisfying sheesha sesh in Delhi.

Mocha Arthouse

Makers of the average young-adult hookah experience, Mocha brings you the next step in their attempt to revolutionise the way Delhi does hookah. Arthouse offers Mocha’s usual perks, now with a side of art. They’re offering a variety of water, juice and alcohol bases, and their house specials include Marrakesh and Cloud 9.

Glued

Steering slightly from the usual giant TV screen and hookah template, Glued offers up a whole gaming centre {overkill? We think not}. They’re happy to customise flavours for you, so ask them to mix you the most audacious concoction and they’ll be happy to oblige. Also, they’re open till 2am, so you can probably take to the sheesha post dinner.

The Flying Saucer Cafe

They’ve set up indoor and outdoor seating; the ambience is lovely – it’s light and spacious and airy, both inside and out; and they’re serving all your favourite bases and flavours; regulars swear by their food.

1 Oak Cafe & Bar

Student on a budget? Fear not. 1 Oak has you covered. They’ve got your usual flavours – grape, paan, rose, cigar, mint, but they also do a Cocktail Signature sheesha called the 1 Oak Buzz, which you should definitely go for.

Uber Lounge

GK II’s own Uber Lounge looks pretty slick – long leather couches, dim lighting, and general slick lounge accoutrements. They have about 10 odd flavours for you to sample, including mint, kiwi, and their special watermelon flavoured hookah. They do match screenings, too, so you can puff while you cheer for your team.

Cafe Secret Society

A sheesha lounge and cafe in Amar Colony, Cafe Secret Society is quite pocket-friendly {they don’t charge tax on hookahs}. The small cafe has great thin crust pizzas, and pastas and steaks as well.

Meraki Cafe & Bar

You can get single flavour, double flavour and {on request} a mixed flavour hookah at Cafe Meraki. Their cocktails are strong and the bartenders are always willing to customise for you.

Summer House Cafe

Summer House promises all the comforts of a summer well-spent, right from the rustic interiors and easy chairs to their excellent food menu and cocktails. Their flavours are all herbal, and besides the regular sheesha – apple, mint, kiwi, orange and paan – they’ve got some really exciting premium flavours which have flavour bases; these include Mint Mojito, Sex on the Beach and Red Bull Attack.

Imperfecto

A fancy evening and some hookah is what you should expect at imperfecto. The decor is simple and chic, even the hookah pots have a colourful touch to them.

Levels

Levels in Hauz Khas Village has a really pretty outdoor sitting, where they have comfortable hammock chairs at alternate tables. The view from the terrace overlooks the lake. Now isn’t that the perfect place for some good hookah?

Circus

It is a spacious place, they have an outdoor seating area at the terrace which is a smoking zone, which is ideal for a hookah sesh. Like the name suggests, the decor is circus themed but they don’t go over the top.

Horn Please Restro Cafe

Hookah all day, all night? Horn Please is open 24 hours, seven days a week and serves flavourful combos of food and hookah. You can score a starter + two beverages + hookah starting at INR 300. The LEDs and rustic lanterns light up the cafe in a bright daze.

QRO Gourmeteria

This cafe is exactly what night owl dreams are made of. Operational till 3am, QRO serves smoky sheesha and delicious fast food in South Campus. The students have tried and tested it, so there’s no way this place isn’t sheesha heaven. We recommend the Blueberry and Paan Salsa.

Post Office Cafe

Planning a beer and hookah night with bae? Post Office Cafe runs their happy hours till 9pm, so you don’t have to worry about being a little late. Plus, a student ID will further get you a 15% discount {take that, pocket money!}. The hookah here is as smooth as the pretty decor, and there’s valet parking, so you don’t have to fret over parallel parking.

Soho Bistro & Cafe

If your sheesha plans are happens in broad daylight, there’s no better place to smoke it up than Soho Bistro & Cafe. They’ve got an open seating area with sun rays bouncing off that shiny hookah base. You can also mellow out on their amazing coffee or gorge on the mouth-watering burgers.
