Bike Taxis are Coming to Gurgaon!

The information in this post might be outdated

Now this sounds interesting! The Haryana government has just approved the use of bike taxis on their streets, and we're hearing that we can expect to see these bikes on the streets of Gurgaon as early as the end of November.

Baxi—{we're loving the name}—the taxi company owned by a Gurgaon-based company, plans to target metro and bus station crowds, helping them get from to their desired destinations, so the focus will be on short, single person rides.

The company already has over 100 motorcycles under their banner, and the drivers will wear uniforms and carry helmets for customers. While some patrons might worry about the safety aspect, there is no denying this form of travel will likely be faster and be able to handle traffic jams more easily. We’re excited to see what the response will be like.

Will you be taking a Baxi?
